Connecting Beyond the Workday: Why Face-to-Face Moments Matter at JMA

At JMA Solutions, our people are at the heart of everything we do. While our work brings us together around shared goals and a commitment to outstanding service, we also recognize the importance of building relationships beyond meetings, projects and deadlines.
For years, our summer events have provided an opportunity for JMA Solutions employees to step away from the workday, spend time together and strengthen the connections that help make our team successful. These gatherings give colleagues a chance to network, reconnect and simply enjoy one another’s company in a more relaxed environment.
Connection Matters More Than Ever
As remote and hybrid work have become increasingly common, creating opportunities for in-person connection has taken on even greater importance.
Technology allows teams to collaborate from almost anywhere, but there is still tremendous value in being together face to face. Sharing a meal, having an informal conversation or meeting a colleague’s family can strengthen relationships in ways that go beyond a video call or email.
Those connections help build the camaraderie, trust and sense of community that we value at JMA Solutions.
Investing in Our People and Their Families
Our summer gatherings are also about more than bringing coworkers together. They are an opportunity to celebrate and pour into the employees and families who are part of the JMA Solutions community.
We treasure having an afternoon each summer where our team can relax, have fun and connect outside of their everyday responsibilities. These moments remind us that behind every project and every solution are people—and those people are the foundation of our success.
As we look back at memories from one of our JMA Solutions DC Office summer events, we are reminded of something simple but important: stronger connections build stronger teams.
Together, we build more than solutions. We build each other.
